Development Changelog 2025 at ZAP-Hosting

We are thrilled to introduce several exciting updates and improvements across our platform, streamlining functionality and enhancing user experience. While many have been enjoying the holidays here is the changelog for our month in December, be sure to subscribe to keep up to date on our changes as we progress into 2026.

Security Enhancements

  • Passkey Support for Customer Accounts: Customers can now seamlessly integrate hardware-based two-factor authentication solutions such as Yubikeys, FaceID, or fingerprint readers.

    • Navigate to the “Security” page to configure hardware authentication easily.

VPS Customization

  • Custom ISOs for VPS: Effortlessly upload and utilise your own ISO images via the ISO page on the user interface.

  • Limitations include:

    • Maintain up to three Custom ISOs at once (cleared after 72 hours).

    • Maximum ISO size capped at 20GB.

    • Only available for newer KVM servers.

  • Extra storage available for VPS customers

    • We heard your voices and have increased the storage for VPS customers you can now purchase up to 2tb of storage with your VPS, making it now useful for any storage hungry project you may have.

Gameservers Highlights

  • Addition of supported games to our system:

  • LEAF was added as a request for Minecraft - A Paper fork, focused on finding balance between performance, vanilla behaviour and stability

  • Folia (a new multithread-capable platform) is available for purchase now on our gameserver interface and customers can switch to it in the games tab!

  • Modpacks: FTB StoneBlock 4 - When Stoneblock 3 just got better!

  • Nightingale is a survival crafting game in a fantasy steam punk setting, if Minecraft doesn’t take your pick, I’m sure this will!

  • Skyrim Together Reborn for all those axe wielding story hungry players you can now officially play together and become the real dragon born together!

  • Wreckfest Linux - When smashing cars is fun with friends we even added it to our Linux game server systems!

Development Tools

  • Global Debug ID System: Introduced unique identifiers in sessions to streamline debugging and enhance system transparency for you lovely customers, this can be found in the footer of the website!

  • "click to copy" functionality to allow customers to copy the password immediately on several parts of the dashboard, so those ctrl + c people can relax their hands!

  • And more further internal updates to make your experience smoother!
