Arma 3 may not appear under the GS/WI installer as its running on a windows system, currently our vserver installer only works on the linux system as its a script that can execute directly on the host machine!
Sadly that means we cannot offer windows hosted games on our vserver installer for you :(
You can always install windows OS on your vserver by reinstalling your server to windows
Then you should be able to install arma 3 server via steam just like that!
I’ve made a suggestion to our doc’s team in order to get a guide made for this.
We apologise for the inconvenience however we are looking to change this in the future.

Just for me to understand, Arma 3 can 100% normally be hosted as a server on Linux, i already did that a few times so would it maybe be possible to make a request for a Arma 3 version for Linux instead so it can be added to the game installer eventually?

Thanks for following up!
While Arma 3 can indeed run on Linux, we won't be adding a separate Linux version to our gameserver installer. We already have a stable, working system for Arma 3 on our Windows gameservers, and we generally only port games from our current setup that are already compatible. Rather than working on specific requests just for our gameserver installer.
