Enable Direct Backups to Google Drive / OneDrive
I would like to suggest adding a feature that allows users to directly back up their servers to cloud storage services, such as Google Drive or OneDrive, without needing to manually download files through the browser.
Why This Feature Is Important
Many users—especially those with large servers, mods, or world files—face issues with:
Slow download speeds
Browser timeouts
Limited mobile or low-bandwidth connections
Large backups that take too long or fail midway
Allowing direct cloud backup would solve all these issues instantly.
How the Feature Would Work
Users connect their Google Drive or OneDrive account to Zap-Hosting via OAuth
They choose “Backup to Cloud” in the panel
ZAP-Hosting automatically uploads the compressed server backup to the user’s cloud storage
Users can also restore directly from cloud storage with one click
Schedule automatic cloud backups (daily/weekly)
Benefits to Users
No need to download large files onto their device
No failed or corrupted downloads
Backups stored safely and permanently in their own cloud storage
Easy transfer between PCs, servers, or friends
Extremely useful for Minecraft, FiveM, ARK & modded server owners
Benefits to Zap-Hosting
Significantly reduced bandwidth usage on backup downloads
Fewer support tickets related to:
Missing backups
Failed downloads
Corrupted files
More professional and modern backup system
Enhances ZAP-Hosting’s reputation as a convenience-focused platform
Supported Cloud Platforms (Suggestion)

Thank you very much for the detailed suggestion — we really appreciate the effort and the thought behind it.
At the moment, we’re not planning to add direct backup integrations with cloud platforms like Google Drive or OneDrive. There are a few reasons for this:
Data Protection & Compliance Concerns
Connecting external cloud services means we would have to manage authentication tokens and handle the transfer of customer data to third-party systems. This brings a number of GDPR and data-handling requirements that complicate things quite a bit, especially for automated backup processes.
Our Existing Backup System Covers Most Use Cases
We already provide an integrated backup solution built directly into our panel while we are still aiming to improve it for other products. Introducing third-party storage options would overlap with the features we already offer, and it would reduce the consistency we can maintain when supporting or restoring backups. Essentially, we’d be putting effort into a feature that mirrors something we already provide in a more controlled and reliable way. We do already offer FTP access to the backup storage which customers are able to use for products that are not already integrated.
Currently Not Enough Overall Interest
From what we have seen so far, only a very small amount of customers request external backup uploads. Most users rely on the existing built-in backup system, so the overall interest for this type of integration is quite low at the moment. Because of that, it’s not something that makes sense for us to prioritize right now.
That said, we’ll continue keeping an eye on customer feedback — if we see this becoming a more common requirement in the future, we can always revisit the idea.
