I would like to see some separate FTP permissions to game folders. I don’t see much potential for this for Gameservers specifically (service), so this could be implemented for VPS and Dedicated server services, so we could be able to make different FTP permissions for each game folder.

For example, I host Minecraft and FiveM servers on my VPS, but I have separate development teams for Minecraft and for FiveM, so logically, it’s not necessary for the Minecraft developer to have access to my FiveM game folder - that’s when this feature comes into the scene. We should be able to restrict (create separate) FTP permissions for each game folder hosted on our server.

After that, in some later update, it would also be good to have the ability to create FTP users separately on our servers (all services) for FTP access, where there will be some built-in manager directly in your dashboard. This will be a place for us to make FTP users directly and restrict specific folders (any on the server) to them (like in Pterodactyl, for example).

I listed both features separately because I feel like the second (upgrade) is more complex and would require more changes from your side, that’s why it could be a later-on upgrade. For now, it would be good to at least see the basic version (first one), as I feel this is quite urgent and it would be so helpful to have this feature in some near future.

    Thanks for the detailed suggestion about FTP permissions.

    Currently, our game-server installer is designed to issue a single main FTP account to the service owner. We limit it to one account primarily for security reasons, to prevent potential abuse of traffic and to protect the owner's filesystem. This way, we can ensure a more secure environment and avoid situations where we wouldn't be liable for any data loss.

    I understand the use case you've described, especially for managing different development teams on a VPS or dedicated server. We'll definitely keep your feedback in mind as we consider future updates to our server management tools.

    For now I can only suggest to do it manually via installing your own FTP server directly on the system this way you can then manage and be responsible for the server FTP for your team,

    If this is on a vps you can find the server files in the home directory and configure your own custom FTP server to work with this.
