Simple Storage Servers

I would like to have storage servers. Not something advanced like S3, more like a server with low CPU/RAM and then much storage. SSD but also HDD, so it could be cheaper. Eg. if you want to store backups or in general where speed does not matter as much as capacity.

    Hi there!

    Thanks for the suggestion about storage servers.

    Our systems are built on a Ceph storage cluster that uses only SSDs to ensure high performance for everyone. Adding HDDs to this cluster would slow down the entire system for all customers.

    Building a separate Ceph cluster just for HDDs isn't feasible for us right now, especially since the cost difference between HDDs and SSDs at this scale isn't as significant as it used to be.

    We appreciate the idea, though, you should be able to use larger storage capacities with us as we recently made changes to our storage allowances for customers.
