ZAP-Hosting Mobile App for controlling products and servers on the move.

A mobile app for IOS & Android would make it possible to manage all Zap-Hosting products conveniently and securely on the go. This could offer the following advantages:

  1. Mobile access:
Users could start, stop or monitor servers and other products at any time and from any location.

  2. Biometric login:
The integration of Face ID or fingerprint sensor technology would ensure a secure and fast login without the need to enter passwords manually.

  3. Notification system:
Push notifications could inform about relevant events, such as server status, workload, tickets or invoices.

  4. Central administration:
All products such as game servers, root servers or web spaces could be clearly managed within a standardized interface.

Overall, a mobile app could make the administration of Zap hosting services much more efficient and increase ease of use, especially for users who frequently access their systems on the move.

    Merged request

    ZAP-Hosting Mobile App

A lightweight ZAP app where you can:

    • Start/Stop/Restart servers

    • View resource usage

    • Get alerts (high CPU, server down)

    • Manage billing & tickets

I had this idea as well, it could be just a progressive web app and would be fine, as it can feel more user-friendly instead of opening a browser

I have already suggested this here. This was rejected and subsequently justified by ZAP!

      Hey 👋

Thanks for your post, in regards to some of the features you asked for.

We spoken to the team and got some clarification back on some of the suggestions you made,

Our site is already compatible with mobile therefore we don’t look for creating an app at this stage however it is something we can indeed look at for the future.

We are already working on some security features that allow users to login via different methods while face ID and biometric login sounds sweet! We may not be able to implement such as we have to follow strict data protection laws, while our focus is adding more authentication methods like google login, discord login etc.. biometric auth is not on the list however will be considered after the first phase of login methods have been added.

We do already hold a notification system in regards to services going down and maintenance etc.. this is handled by our status page in which you can subscribe to as such:

      https://status.zap-hosting.com/

You would already be subscribed to get notifications on your tickets and invoices. That is handled in our privacy area of your account.

In regards to our interface administration suggestion you made, we are in the current works of this at the moment as part of our interface updates, we will be sharing more information on this in the coming weeks after black-friday once everything is settled on the developers side of things.

Thanks for your suggestions, if you have any further questions please feel free to reply.
